General advice on temporary business closures during COVID-19
With many COVID-19 government restrictions now in place, we recognise the challenges faced by our clients as buildings are forced to either close or operate in a limited capacity into the foreseeable future.
From a risk management perspective, Zurich Australia has provided some general advice on how to protect a variety of building types should a temporary closure be required. These requirements should be considered similar for all insurers, unless otherwise notified.
Each guide includes risk control measures and site closure checklists for you to use:
- Temporary Premises Closure Guide
- Partial Premises Closure Guide
- Temporary Construction Site Closure Guide
- Temporary Closure of Buildings in Refurbishment Guide
- Temporary Closure of Schools Guide
If your policy has specific requirements, or should you have any queries with regards to security or risk management for example, you are unable to comply with these measures, please contact your CRM Broker who can discuss this with you and help. Our full team is available via the usual channels of email and/or phone.
Please look out for further updates from us, as we continue to monitor this situation and other important insurance matters.
