Damien commenced his insurance career as an agent for Prudential Life Assurance. In 1992 he was admitted as an Affiliate of the Australian Insurance Institute. A year earlier he became a Director of Crown Insurance Services Pty Ltd, a company that primarily arranged life and related insurances for its clientele.
The clients shifted the company’s focus from life to general insurance and in 1999, with another Crown co-director, Joseph Saad, they established Crown Risk Management Pty Ltd, which two years later, became CRM Brokers Pty Ltd.
Since that time, Damien has specialised in developing insurance schemes for associations and their members, whilst working with companies listed on the ASX Top 500 list.
Damien is a National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Qualified Practising Insurance Broker, he has been a Senior Associate Certified Insurance Professional of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) since 2004 and has obtained a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking).
Damien was awarded the prestigious NIBA NSW/ACT Broker of the Year award 2019. The award goes to an inspiring role model who has demonstrated excellence in broking practice and client advocacy. Damien was also selected as a finalist for Insurance Business Australia Awards Broker of the Year 2018.
With over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Joseph has a knowledgeable and professional understanding of the tailored solutions CRM Brokers can offer their clients.
Joseph’s expertise in the Construction and Strata Insurance industry provides CRM Brokers clients with a professional approach to insurance that encompasses risk management procedures to reduce a client’s exposure.
As a Director and Principal of CRM Brokers since its’ inception, Joseph continues to deliver guidance and support to our management team through a client oriented culture that furthers our peoples’ success.
Joseph is a Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance and a Certified Insurance Professional (CIP).
Gordon has over thirty years of financial services experience, with the last twelve years in senior roles at specialist strata underwriting agencies.
With his business acumen and ability to manage and foster key relationships across a range of stakeholders, Gordon is a pivotal part of driving CRM Brokers forward.
His work ethic centers on faithfully delivering the small things to the highest standards, to allow the larger things to naturally fall into place for his clients and team.
Since 2006 Natalie has played an integral part in the growth of CRM Brokers, with a dedication to support our clients every step of the way.
As Office & Administration Manager, she provides a strong work ethic and problem solving abilities that set the benchmark in client service.
Natalie believes that servicing our clients’ individual needs is of utmost importance.
Christian is responsible for overseeing a team of brokers dedicated to servicing the needs of our strata related clientele.
His work philosophy is that “the rapport between the client and broker is the key to a successful business relationship”.
Christian has appeared on insurance panels such as the Safe Cladding, Buildings and Façade Innovation Summit in Sydney and was a finalist for the 2019 Insurance Business Australia Awards as Broker of the Year (Specialist).
As Head of Claims, Ken works alongside our dedicated in-house claims team. With over 12 years insurance industry experience, Ken joined CRM Brokers having been at one of Australia’s largest strata insurance underwriting agencies, CHU since 2013.

NIBA is the peak body of the insurance broking profession in Australia and represents around 450 member firms and more than 16,000 individual intermediaries. NIBA represents well over 90% of all insurance brokers in Australia.
Since 1982 NIBA has been a driving force for change in the Australian insurance broking industry. It has supported financial services reforms, encouraged higher educational standards for insurance brokers, and introduced a strong, independently administered and monitored Insurance Brokers Code of Practice.
NIBA strives to represent the interests of insurance brokers, on behalf of their clients (policyholders) to governments, regulators, industry stakeholders, media and the community, in a manner that is respected and relevant.
At an international level, NIBA is a member of the Council of Asia Pacific Insurance Brokers Associations (CAPIBA) and the World Federation of Insurance Intermediaries (WFII).
