Christian Lingga announced as a speaker at the Safe Buildings and Defects Management Summit

From cracking residential properties to widespread cases of combustible external cladding, building defects have become an all-too-familiar item in newspaper headlines.

The extent of the problem has affected public confidence in the industry, with many stakeholders declaring it has reached crisis point.

With building defect remediation costs estimated to reach $6.2 billion nationwide, industry, government and building owners are scrambling to determine the stakeholders responsible, how to finance and remediate the multi-billion dollar problem, and what needs to be done to prevent these issues from happening again.

Christian Lingga, Strata Broking Manager, has been invited to share his knowledge and experience on the topic; ‘The current landscape for insurance of the building and construction sector’. Christian will form part of the Insurance Panel discussing the topic at the Safe Buildings and Defects Management Summit 2020, Sydney.

The Summit will bring together key government policymakers and building and construction industry professionals from across the nation to develop strategies to mitigate the risk of defects, finance remediation and build confidence in the sector.
